与好莱坞电影《SIGHT》主角原型王明旭博士面对面交流，罗利地区专场7月23日举行   根据国际知名眼科专家王明旭博士的自传《从黑暗到光明》（From Darkness To Sight）改编的电影《SIGHT》（光明），将于10月27日在好莱坞环球影城进行首映式。为正式上映暖场的“提前观影会”从5月下旬开始，已在奥兰多、纽约、波士顿等地华人社区巡回举行。 由夏洛特华美协会主办、南北卡多个华人社团协办的《SIGHT》提前观影会，下周五（21日）开始，将在南卡州府哥伦比亚、北卡夏洛特及罗利地区，共举办4场。王明旭博士将亲临现场分享传记创作的心得、电影拍摄的幕后故事，以及大家关心的眼科问题。 《SIGHT》提前观影会罗利地区专场由北卡华人联合会、北卡华人企业协会联手协办，将在华人福音基督教会凯瑞堂举行。 时间：7月23日（周日）晚上 5:00开始 地点：华人福音教会 凯瑞堂 地址：107 Quade Dr., Cary, NC 27513       內容： 電影製片人與王醫生的簡介 王醫生眼疾義診及諮詢 電影首映（2小時） 電影後有简單茶點提供 《Sight》荣获第五十届ICVM电影大奖两项金奖 5月23日，第五十届ICVM电影大奖获奖名单在佛罗里达州奥兰多揭晓， 讲述国际知名眼科专家王明旭博士的传记电影《Sight》摘得最有分量的两项皇冠奖至高荣誉——最佳影片奖（best picture）、最佳故事片奖（best feature film）。 这部影片同时还获得最佳摄影银奖和最佳男主角铜奖。 ICVM是最大的国际基督教电影节。这是华人第一次在ICVM电影奖中获得提名，并斩获多项大奖。 王明旭博士在颁奖仪式上发言 影片《Sight》改编来自王明旭博士的真实故事。王明旭初中毕业后因故辍学，想进文工团当二胡演奏家的希望破灭后被迫去工厂打工。但有朝一日想改变现状的信念鞭策他不断地努力学习新知识。1977年高考恢复后，他成为当时浙江省被中国科技大学录取的四位优秀学生之一。在中科大就读大四期间，王博士考入马里兰大学攻读激光物理学博士学位，后攻读哈佛医学院博士学位，从事麻省理工大学博士后研究。他一路过关斩将，发明了世界上首例羊膜无形眼镜专利技术，目前已被许多国家的上万名眼科医生广泛采用，为全世界上百万盲人恢复了视力。影片真实地展现了王明旭博士不断奋进，越挫越勇的人生经历。 片中，王明旭博士凭借着高超的艺术、高尚的医德，让数以万计的患者重见光明故事，感动了无数观众。 王明旭博士坦言，在从医经历中，经历过太多看似不可能的挑战，面对残酷的现实，唯有依靠超强的意志力才能走到今天这一步。 自传如何被拍成电影？ 5月24日，王明旭博士传记电影《Sight》的“提前观影会”在奥兰多华人福音教会（OCECC）举行。一百多人参加了观影活动。影片主人公原型王明旭博士和制片人大卫·费舍尔（David Fischer）一行来到活动现场，与观众进行了真诚而热烈的互动。 费舍尔先生介绍，他2014年在纳什维尔一个鸡尾酒会上遇到王博士。费舍尔来自明尼苏达，曾是一名歌手，而王博士当时要演奏二胡，他要求费舍尔在他演奏时歌唱一曲。两人一拍即合，配合默契，之后两人聊了起来。王博士说他在写一本自传，费舍尔作为律师欣然答应帮他完成心愿。因为这本书，费舍尔对王博士的人生了然于心，他还帮忙写作了书的介绍和其他内容。费舍尔鼓励王博士将他的故事改编成电影，因为他的故事不仅仅是关于他自己，而已远远超出了他个人。费舍尔在担任《Sight》制片人之前曾担任过多部电影的制片人，但这是他制作的第一部有关亚裔的电影。 王明旭博士当天和观众讨论了关于这部传记电影的一些看法。他说：华人在社会上受到歧视，华人在美国做的贡献不被人知，因为我们没有讲出自己的故事。要提高华人在美国的地位，就需要我们参与美国主流的工作。“我们要勇敢地、有信心地站起来，表达自己的关注和担忧。”他希望年轻一代和华裔孩子们能在屏幕上看到长得像自己的人，从而增加自己的信心。 充满期待与南北卡同胞见面 王明旭博士生活工作的田纳西州，与南北卡接壤，特别希望将自己的经历和收获，分享给邻近的华人同胞。 夏洛特华美协会欣然牵头组织南北卡地区巡回观影会，得到南卡华人社团、教会的大力支持。 华美协会会长薇妮·克纳普(Winnie Knapp)介绍，经过各地教会和志愿者精心安排，筹备工作正在有序进行，已经有不少同胞踊跃报名参加。因为场地容量有限，机会先到先得，请大家尽快注册。 When/时间: 7月23日（周日）晚上 5:00开始 Where/地点/地址: 华人福音教会 凯瑞堂/107 Quade Dr., […]
