NCCBA presents Shu Li, Ph.D., a biotechnology company founder. She will lead our discussion about her successful entrepreneurial experience in biotech field. The meeting format is questions & answers, therefore, please think of your questions and ask Shu Li.
Shu Li, Ph.D., is CEO and Co-founder of Petri Bio, an LA-based biotech startup developing novel probiotics to increase health span and lifespan. Previously she co-founded Alpine Roads (now Nobell Foods), a YC-backed startup using genetically modified plants to produce animal proteins. She has a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Penn State University. Over academic and entrepreneurial career, she has generated 7 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 3 patents, and served as a reviewer for 4 scientific journals. In her spare time, she is a long-term member and serving as the President-Elect of the National Graduate Women In Science (GWIS), advocating for underrepresented scientists, entrepreneurs, and leaders in STEM.

9. What groups/resources should help entrepreneurs/CEOs from early stage companies quickly rise up?
