Elizabeth is the owner and founder of SpeechMod, which she launched after realizing a need in the market for flexible and personalized accent modification instruction. She has been a speech-language pathologist for more than 20 years and completed the Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language (PESL) course in 2007. Additionally, she is a trained and approved administrator of the Comprehensive Assessment of Accentedness and Intelligibility (CAAI), the only approach that is based on the latest research. She has conducted presentations on a variety of speech and language topics across the country. She is also a former president of the North Carolina Speech, Hearing, and Language Association.
