Behavioral Psychology and Investment Decision Making

Introduction of Apex Learn Founders

Tony Zhang and Moxuan Zhu are the visionary co-founders of Apex Learn, a nonprofit organization dedicated to applying the principles of neuroscience and psychology to foster healthy habits and effective decision-making among individuals and families. Tony Zhang brings a wealth of experience from his entrepreneurial ventures in the United States and China. With over 20 years of consulting experience, he has served in various capacities at several Global Fortune 500 companies, including Accenture, IBM/Lenovo, and Sony. As a father of twins, Tony is passionate about parenting and integrating Eastern and Western philosophies to harmonize work and life. In 2019, together with Moxuan, Tony introduced the Fan Deng Reading Clubs to North Carolina, creating a platform for aspiring young professionals to continue their learning journey outside of school. This initiative later evolved into the nonprofit organization Apex Learn, which offers Positive Discipline parent courses, Critical Thinking for managers, and ongoing campaigns on The Psychology of Money.

Moxuan Zhu is a dedicated advocate of lifelong learning and believes in living a meaningful life. With a background as an experienced system engineer, Moxuan excels in problem-solving and hands-on experience. His belief that one should be broad and in-depth in different areas to live a meaningful life drives his curiosity and passion for learning. His work reflects his commitment to education and personal development. As a certified Positive Discipline parent trainer, Moxuan has been instrumental in helping families build supportive and growth-oriented environments. His vision for Apex Learn is to create a community of like-minded individuals who can think and act collectively towards personal and communal growth. With a humble and long-term mindset, Moxuan applies the same principles to parenting, intimate relationships, behavioral finance, and personal growth, looking forward to a lifelong journey of learning and development.

Together, Tony Zhang and Moxuan Zhu have created Apex Learn with the goal of integrating ancient wisdom with modern psychological research. Their combined expertise provides a unique perspective on behavioral psychology, particularly in the context of investment decision-making. Through their work, they aim to help individuals understand the psychological underpinnings of their financial behaviors and make more informed, rational decisions.
